Division II – Individual Play (6th, 7th, or 8th Graders)

Division II is designed for less experienced players. This Division will play 9-hole events on Par 3, (Vinny Links), or Executive Courses.  DII players may have caddies.  The League expects Division II players to be familiar with the USGA Rules of Golf and course etiquette.  All 6th graders will participate in this division.

 Caddie Guidelines

Caddies are allowed in Division II. All players must either carry their golf bag or use a pull cart. Motorized carts are not permitted.

Caddie Duties

A caddie may:

  2. Assist the player with alignment of both his body and the club

  3. Count scores for fellow competitors and assist with scoring

  4. Assist players with searching for balls, pace of play, and etiquette

  5. Attend the flagstick

  6. Find a Rules Official for any questions concerning the rules

  7. Report to the scoring area immediately following play

  8. Encourage the player to have fun

A caddie may not:

  1. Carry a player’s clubs

  2. Assist the player in any way during the swing

  3. Attempt to make rulings

  4. Touch the putting surface in an effort to aid the player

No player may have more than one caddie at a time. Caddies are encouraged not to emphasize winning, get too involved, or “over coach”. Any penalty incurred by the caddie will be resolved against the player.

There is a double par maximum on every hole.  Once a double par score is reached, the player will pick up his/her ball and continue play on the next hole.
